You'll find our libraries at 6 hospital sites in Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer) and are open to all staff, patients and families, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:15 pm. We are closed on weekends and holidays.

Edmonton

Red Deer

Calgary

All library spaces offer:

  • Access to trained information specialists for consultation and help
  • Computer access for patients, families, and hospital staff
  • Books and journals that meet the needs of their facility and support a provincial medical library collection
  • Quiet space to study and read
  • Comfortable seating for rest and reflection
  • Photocopying and printing services

Some sites have after-hours swipe access, drop boxes for returning library materials, and exam proctoring. We are also happy to place items aside for pick-up after-hours. Contact your nearest library to speak to a staff member on-site to find out what is available.

Beyond our physical spaces, you'll find the majority of our information resources are now available online 24/7:

Send us an email or start a chat with our library staff if there is anything else we can help answer!
