Who staffs this service?
Library Services staff throughout the province support the chat line. We also provide service in person or over the phone. As we do help a lot of clients, there may be slight delays in responding to your chat requests. But, we make every effort to respond to all inquiries in a timely fashion.
What are the hours of operation?
Our chat service is available Mondays – Fridays, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. We are closed weekends and holidays.
Who can use the chat service?
Our chat reference service is intended for Alberta Health Services staff. If you do not fall into our client group, we can help refer you to an appropriate service and may suggest that you contact your local library for assistance.
Do you save the transcripts?
Transcripts may be retained for research and evaluation purposes. Any personal information will be removed from messages before transcripts are evaluated.
Which Chat software do you use?
We use Springshare LibChat software to manage our chat reference services.
